The Beastmarines

So one of my current projects is my warhammer 40k Beastmarines. They are awesome looking space marines of the imperium, born of the space wolves and loyal to Leman of the Russ they now stand as a splinter chapter of the Sons of Fenris. Small in number their feirce nature and fearsome stature still makes for a formidable foe and commendable ally. They are not universally excepted by all the chapters of the empire, but frankly no one has yet had the courage to cross such violent, formidable and loyal beasts.

Oubliette Gate

Will be there with 1000 pts of Beastmarines taking on the forces of chaos alongside my marine brothers. Looking forward to it a lot!

Innsmouth Gaming Club

Saturday 16 May the Innsmouth lads will battle it out in a unique dual-table, narrative ‘fluff’ 40K game; The Oubliette Gate.

Overview
Two games will be played side-by-side on separate boards representing the struggle between Imperial and Chaos forces; aboard the Chaos strike cruiser, Hell’s Fury, in low-orbit above the planet Viridian Prime and upon the planet’s surface itself, near the site of the recently discovered Oubliette Gate artefact.

Victory points are scored on both tables and added together to determine the overall winning team using a combination of tactical and narrative-based objectives to keep play varied. Uniquely, each table will be able to affect the flow of battle on the other using special rules representing orbital bombardment and planetary defence cannons exchanging fire with one
another.

Play will be balanced throughout the game by supplying reinforcements to the current losing side and the game will conclude with a spectacular ‘end…

The Mingvitational 2015

So this year i am entering a new comp. A hobbying comp the Mingvitational 2015 #hmv15 . Should be amazing, lists are due end of the month, they are unbound and match ups will be custom from the creator and host, Ming! Name makes sense now doesn’t it! Should be some cool stuff to do, lots I will post here and on Twitter so please watch this space! For now here is a picture from my test games, enjoy and stay wild!

This morning I received an email from the lovely people at Gorkana announcing the launch of their new competition; #LoveGorkana. These guys are very well known for their media database, media monitoring/analysis tools, and their PR/press management system – which might sound like techno-mumbo-jumbo to a lot of readers, but they’re business critical tools for any and all PR folk out there, and things I use in my day job all the time.

Long time away, and new stuff!

So along time away and not much to add! Lots of changes in the GW world especially Warhammer, not kept up except to by infuriated by no new Beastmen book and the new add ons simply being a whole new set of rules and complications! Any way will wait to see what christmas brings, Glotkin maybe!
In the mean time 40k has had new rules and even though i didn’t play it much I was again indignant about the rapid changes. My gaming “friends” felt it was a better system and worked well, better then previous versions. I have finally succumbed wanting a new modelling challenge. Once upon a time i made Space Beastmen! I liked them a lot and hummed and ahhed about an army of them. Now i am building one and it is looking very cool. Rules are Space wolves and I am making Beastmarines. Watch this space!

Making Shit!!

Been recently making loads of water based scenery, and practising buildings and stuff. After the gaming weekend needed to coast for a bit.
Anyway following in from the bloodgreed tiles I made some despoiler tiles for the bestigors, and yes some beastman poo!
Does a beastman shit in the woods, well yes, and everywhere else!
